On holdApproval comes before export

A corrected total alone is not enough. Only the manager-approved version belongs in the export.

  1. 01Driver records the day

The original shift and break stay attached to this record.

  2. 02Manager checks the exception

Request confirmation if the evidence is incomplete. The record stays out of the export.

  3. 03Driver confirms; manager approves

A correction changes the totals. Approval is a separate, named responsibility.

  4. 04Accounts receives the record

The CSV uses the approved hours and rate, without retyping them.

Fictional practice record · Gross pay before tax · No payroll is sent

This example has its own saved record. Your Shiftline work and business notes stay separate.

The work behind the software

I help decide who records the work, who checks exceptions and what accounts can trust. Then I put the process, guidance and tools in place so people can actually follow it.

The scope of the work

Organise driver hours and pay

Connect driver time, breaks, rotas and pay records without repeated chasing.

First, we look at how drivers record work and breaks, how rotas and pay rates are managed, and where managers spend time checking or correcting the records.

What I do

  • Agree the time, break and pay rules with you.
  • Connect the driver record with manager checks and exceptions.
  • Prepare a checked export for your payroll or accounts tool.
What you receive

A driver and manager workflow for rotas, hours, breaks and agreed pay rates, with an accounting export and clear review responsibilities.

How we check progress Compare preparation time, missing entries and corrections across pay periods; check that drivers can understand their own records.

A starting point for a conversation. We agree the scope after understanding your business.

A practical perspective across different businesses. My work has involved logistics, food businesses, barbers, vehicle resellers, sales and recruitment agencies, and ESG businesses.

At Bridge of Hope Careers, I helped set up the social media marketing. The scope changes with the business; the approach stays hands-on.
